In a sincere endeavor to monitor, safeguard and manage the most valuable regular asset, the state government put the draft of the state water strategy in the public space for ideas and suggestions. The draft strategy has focused on the requirement for solid administrative instruments and proposed various frameworks towards wise and checked supply and usage of the accessible water assets. Groundwater being the most fundamental part for supply of consumable water, the draft strategy has laid accentuation and looked for changes to the Goa Ground Water Regulation Act, 2002 for guideline of groundwater assets and Goa Irrigation Act, 1973 for guideline of surface water assets
