There is a Prohibition on the use of re-cycled plastic carry bags. – No one shall use, carry bags or containers made of re-cycled plastics for storing, carrying, and packing food stuffs. If an individual needs to use plastic there are usage conditions for carry bags, etc. – Subject to the provisions of Rule 2, anyone may use carry bags or containers made of recycled plastics if the following conditions are met: – carry bags and containers made of recycled plastics conform to the specifications mentioned in the Prevention of Food and Adulteration Act, 1954, and the rules made thereunder;

These carry bags and containers are not coloured:

The minimum thickness of recycled plastic carry bags shall not be less than 25 microns. Plastic reprocessing or recycling is strictly prohibited.
